Acclaim Autism recently celebrated the grand opening of its expanded West Chester ABA therapy center, welcoming families, children, staff, community partners, and local organizations for an afternoon of connection, learning, and celebration.
The event provided families with an opportunity to tour the new center, meet members of the Acclaim Autism team, learn more about available autism services, and explore the thoughtfully designed environment created to support children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Children enjoyed arts and crafts, face painting, and play activities throughout the center while parents connected with clinicians and community resources.
Growing to Meet the Needs of Families in West Chester
For many years, Acclaim Autism served families through its previous West Chester location on North Franklin Street, offering center-based ABA therapy, social skills groups, and early childhood programming. During that time, the organization built strong relationships with families, schools, daycares, and community partners throughout the region.
As the need for autism services in West Chester and Chester County continued to grow, Acclaim Autism sought a larger location that would allow the team to support more children and families while expanding programming opportunities.
The new center, located at 839 Lincoln Avenue in West Chester, Pennsylvania, provides additional space for individualized therapy, skill development, and family support services.
Designed With Children and Families in Mind
The expanded West Chester center was thoughtfully designed to create a supportive and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and build meaningful skills.
Features of the new center include:
- Individual therapy rooms
- Structured play areas
- Spaces that support communication and language development
- Areas for social skills instruction and peer interaction
- Learning environments focused on independence and daily living skills
- Outdoor play space for movement, recreation, and gross motor skill development
One of the most exciting additions is the outdoor area, which provides children with opportunities to practice social interaction, participate in physical activities, and develop important motor skills in a natural setting.
