Yes — Blue Shield of California covers ABA therapy for children and teens under 21.
Coverage includes screening, diagnostic evaluation, and behavioral health treatment when medically necessary.
Diagnostic evaluations are currently in-network only with Aetna and Cigna.
If your plan does not cover diagnostic assessments with Acclaim Autism, you may still receive an evaluation through our private-pay option. Many families choose this route to begin ABA services sooner.

Once coverage and authorizations are confirmed, most families begin services within 2–4 weeks.
