Acclaim Autism has officially opened its newest center in downtown Lancaster, marking the organization’s second location in the region. This expansion reflects Acclaim Autism’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality autism care in Lancaster.
The company’s first Lancaster location, at 1821 Oregon Pike, has reached full capacity. The opening of the new Lancaster Central center ensures more families have access to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and related services.
A Day of Celebration and Community Connection
Families attending the grand opening were welcomed with guided tours showcasing therapy spaces designed to support learning, creativity, and social interaction. Children enjoyed engaging activities including face painting, arts and crafts, and an indoor obstacle course. Local resource partners also participated, offering valuable information and support to families.
“I think what makes us (Acclaim Autism) stand out is that we like to integrate our community in our services as much as possible,” said Clinical Director Kadija Tahirou, BCBA in an interview with FOX 43. “We definitely want to be a part of the community because the community is a huge part of our kids’ lives and having those connections for our kids is also huge for the parents too.”
Expanding Services for Families
The Lancaster Central center will provide a wide range of services, including:
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy
- Social skills groups
- Early childhood intervention programs
- Parent training and support groups
By offering comprehensive care, Acclaim Autism aims to support not only children with autism but also their families and caregivers.
